Police Aware!

Norfolk Police lead important presentation on County Lines' dangers!

It has been another hectic week, but I have really enjoyed popping into classes to monitor how children are engaging with their English sessions, whether this be reading and/or writing. I have been pleased with the level of participation and happy that many children are really taking charge of their own learning and producing some interesting pieces. Across Norfolk, Writing seems to be a regular challenge to achieve the strongest of outcomes, so it is important that we as a school maintain a high profile to ensure attainment of our pupils is the best it can be.

On Wednesday morning, Norfolk Police visited to lead a presentation to our Years 5 and 6 pupils regarding the dangers of County Lines and how more and more young people are being drawn into activities surrounding this. We hope by educating our children in this manner, they are better informed to identify dangers that they may be presented with in the future and are therefore able to keep themselves safe. Thank you Norfolk Constabulary for your support with this. We will soon have another safety presentation by Olly Day about road safety for our younger year groups.

Next week, the SENDCO team and I will be meeting with teachers across the Federation to discuss pupil progress, how they feel class attainment is going, any support they need and what further steps are required to achieve even stronger outcomes from the pupils.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
