Jolly Hockeysticks!
Virtual Competition from Premier provides Hockey enrichment!
It has been parent-teacher meetings this week and I hope all our parents ensured they spoke to or met with our teachers to discuss how their children have been settling in. Giving the reports out last week enabled all families to see a written record of where the pupils currently are with their learning and attitude to it. If you did not make an appointment with staff, please ensure you do so. For those parents of pupils with SEND, our SENDCO team is offering further meetings to be arranged after half-term.
Our children did so well on Wednesday walking all the way to the Church for our Harvest Festival. Not only did we get lots of donations, which will go to Great Yarmouth Foodbank, but the children performed a lovely version of George Ezra's Harvest Song. It is great for our Junior pupils to collaborate on events with the Infant pupils. Our Junior Leaders came down to help walk the Infants to and from the Church providing them with increased responsibility and an opportunity to model a great example.
Thursday saw our Years 5 & 6 Boys' football team play really well in the second round of the cup against a very strong Cliff Park side. It was an end to end game, but we managed to score four good goals and win the match. A great team effort, which I hope the boys can take confidence from for the rest of the season.
On Friday, Premier Sports provided our first Virtual Competition of the year in Hockey. There are some pictures on the Photo Gallery tab of the children enjoying themselves and learing a different sport. Also on Friday, our PTFA had their doughnut sale after school to provide a lovely sweet treat to welcome in the half-term.
We shall see you all again on Monday 3rd November when we will see in that week Year 4 travelling to Norwich Castle and Year 6 going off to Duxford.
Have a safe and relaxing half-term everyone!
