Planting Frenzy!

Planting Day across the Federation beautifies the site!
The end of the week saw a Federation Planting day take place where children came in non-uniform in exchange for a bedding plant, which they will pop in the ground somewhere around the school site in order to firstly improve the aesthetics and secondly to provide a fabulous source of pollen and nectar for our resident honey bees. I am sure with the correct weather, respect from all on the site and the right gardener's nurturing touch, all our plants will thrive and blossom further. Thank you to all parents for the donations.
From the above picture, you can see our Years 5 & 6 Girls' Football Team played their final match of the season against a competitive side from Woodlands Primary Academy in the league grand final with both schools having won their respective divisions. The match saw a simply outstanding effort from the Years 5 and 6 Girls' football team who suffered penalty heartbreak. The team put on a disciplined and dominant performance and perhaps deserved more from the game but for the heroics of the opposing team's goalkeeper. The Federation could not be prouder of every member of the team over the course of the season. What a journey! What a collection of memories! What a team! Thank you girls - it has been a pleasure to witness. Thank you to all families for supporting the girls throughout the year with transport, encouragement and, of course, kit washing.
Next week on Friday, will be the last day for any Ormesby University stamps to be collected and then please hand in your completed booklets.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
