Filby House Captains are Headteachers for the Day!

Hello, we are the Filby House Captains and we have been shadowing Mr. Young in his role as Headteacher. We have carried out a learning walk on pupil engagement at both schools. It was nice to speak to the different children and hear what they had to say. We have also led an Infant school Good Work assembly and we also announced in the Junior assembly about the new Modern Foreign Language Quest competition where we could win up to £3,000. We completed a safety walk moving a fallen trunk in order to make it safer for the children and carried out a Junior Leaders' meeting planning to work with an external camera operator to record a virtual tour of the school with a 360 degree device. We both loved having power in the schools and one of us in particular enjoyed devouring an entire box of biscuits.

Well done boys you were both extremely hard-working and conducted yourself responsibly in all tasks. I am very proud of you both.

This week it has been extremely hot and bright so can I stress that children come to school wearing sun cream, a sun hat and ensure all children have a water bottle. Children do not need to wear a jumper if temperatures are much higher.

Year 6 children went off to Scratby beach on Thursday to enjoy a reward trip in recognition of their hard work during the SATs week. The children played traditional beach games, dug holes in the sand and enjoyed an ice cream and chips. Well done everyone.

It is half-term next week, so please have a relaxing week with your families and be safe.
