They think it's all over...it is now!

Two main elements dominate the week!

Over the course of this week both Years 5 and 6 have experienced something new. It certainly was quieter in the school without a class being there.

Year 5 enjoyed their first residential with the school travelling off to North Norfolk, Overstrand Hall PGL. The group took part in several activities, abseiling, Jacob's Ladder climbing, laser tag, tunnelling, roasting marshmallows over the fire, visiting the local coastline and mainly learning to survive with resilience knowing parents would not be on hand to help. I am pleased that everyone there enjoyed the week. I have no doubt they are tired and desire the comfort of their own beds.

Year 6 completed their SATS this week and we had planned a reward trip to Scratby beach for Friday, but the weather forecast spoilt it, so the latter had to be postponed until the following Thursday. Thank you to all the children for their efforts and for showing such a united spirit attending each daily SATS breakfast together. Another thank you must go to all the adult readers who came in to support the children who required it. I have every faith that all children will have done their best and that is all I can ask of them.  The results are not released until early July.

Next week, our Governors are visiting Monday to challenge us further in writing and behaviour. On Friday, two new Junior Leaders will get to experience being Headteachers for the Day, which will be fun

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
