SATS Preparations!

SATS Preparations are in full swing!

This week has seen a continuation of bright weather and this means that the children get to use the playing field more provided it is dry. We are hoping to have some improvement works completed around our trim trail area and we are just in the process of getting some quotes in for the project. Hopefully, this will ensure a durable update for years to come.

Since the Spring term, the Year 6 children have been busily preparing for their statutory SATs tests during the week beginning 11th May. They have been busy in class each day and have been benefiting from boosting sessions with Mr. Yaxley each Tuesday. In a week's time, the Year 6 children will be invited in to enjoy a SATS breakfast together each day ahead of sitting these tests. I have no doubt this will help the children to relax and I am sure they will all do their best.

We have booked a number of trips in the coming weeks, one of them being a new trip to the mosque in Norwich for Years 3 and 4, who study the Islamic faith in their RE lessons. Children in our area of Norfolk rarely experience diversity in religion, culture and ethnicity and it is vitally important that trips like these take place to expose children to the world around them in order to to make them stronger and more fulfilled citizens of the future. Hopefully, all families will support the trips being organised to enrich the learning experiences on offer to children. In the same week, we also have visits from a member of the Jewish faith and a member of the Buddhist faith.

Next week, please remember it is Bank Holiday Monday, so the school will be closed to pupils. When we return on Tuesday 5th May, we have our class and leavers' photos to be taken. Let us hope the weather is nice for the shots.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
