Easter Egg-Travaganza!
Easter events culminate in a decorated blown-egg competition and raffle!
The final week of term has been super busy as usual. Having a shorter term does not stop the same seasonal events being completed, it just means we have less time to fit them all in.
All week, parent-teacher meetings have taken place, so I hope parents were happy with the reports and feedback from staff regarding their children and their progress. Due to Mr. Yaxley's absence, his meetings will be re-arranged until after the holidays. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
On Tuesday, some of our children went over to John Grant to take part in a sporting carousel of activities. There was no cross-school competition, but within our school there were three teams, each captained by a Year 5 child. The team with the most points from across the events achieved a trophy in recognition. Thank you John Grant and Mr. Woodrow for organising.
Rev. Jo visited to conduct her Easter assembly for us. It is always good to learn about the religious significance of the Easter season alongside the Open The Book stories we have each week.
The Years 5 and 6 Boys' football team played their penultimate match of the season against Caister Junior and having played them previously in a tournament, the team knew it would be a tough challenge to overcome. Each player represented the school proudly and performed amazingly well to come from behind and out-battle the opposition to win the match. It was a really positive victory and one well deserved. The journey of the season has been progressive and with North Denes as the last fixture of the season on the day we return to school for Summer, I am hoping we can secure another victory and end on a good high.
Children return on Tuesday 14th April. The school is closed to pupils on Monday 13th April due to it being staff training.
I hope you all have a lovely Easter holidays. Stay safe everyone!
