Road Safety Aware!

Olly Day still going strong on the road safety campaign!

Welcome back to a new half-term. The children have returned raring to go, it seems, in order to learn as much as they can.

Olly Day, the seasoned campaigner for Road Safety, visited midweek to ensure our Years 3, 4 and 5 understood how they must stay as safe as possible when on or nearby the road. The magic engages the children, but the main message is clear. Our road outside school gets very busy at peak times and we must do all we can to keep our children safe. Seeing Olly Day simply reminds staff that we are all getting older, as he has been doing this roadshow for some years.

It was good to get back to training the boys' football team this week after our break and I was pleased that the group have been trying hard to earn a place for the next fixture. Hopefully, we can do well in our four remaining fixtures.  Come on Ormesby!

Next week on Monday, our choir will be going over to Gorleston Pavilion theatre for a new singing experience. I think spectator tickets can be purchased via the organiser should any family members wish to watch. Information should have been included with the letter. On Thursday, the Years 5 and 6 boys will be competing again in a football match against Edward Worlledge, so we hope we can battle well. It is also World Book Day on the same day, so we have invited pupils to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or in pyjamas. On Friday, Ranworth House Captains will be shadowing me as Headteachers for the Day. This will also be the day for the Junior version of the Chance to Shine Cricket enrichment.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
