Pupils making progress!

Pupil Progress Meetings demonstrate the good work that is being undertaken!
Across the week, I have had the opportunity to meet with all teachers alongside the SENDCOs to review the progress of each cohort of children together. This proved an extremely worthwhile enterprise, as it always does, because it gives a fabulous insight into the lengths staff are going to enable all pupils to do the best they can. We analyse data for the whole class, as well as for specific groups of children and we agree on targets to work on over the next term in order to improve further. Within the resources we have at our disposal, the staff are doing extremely well, so we shall see how this term can contribute to continued progress.
School finances are always a challenging topic of discussion, but it is hopeful that our pleas to the Local Authority for further funds to increase support staffing, first and foremost, will be answered soon and we can look to recruit, which is another difficulty in itself. However, we remain hopeful and positive.
Next week, I will be able to go into each class again to observe lessons and see how well the children are learning and how teaching staff are imparting that all-important knowledge to the children. On Friday 30th January, we will also have our first pair of Headteachers for the Day from Barton House.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
