Hampton here we come!

Year 5 head off to Hampton Court Palace for a Tudor Taster!

The week has flown by, yet again, however we have filled it with several different events.

The Year 5 children went off to Hampton Court on Thursday. Travelling to London is a long way for those of us based in the eastern part of Norfolk, but it does give many of our children an opportunity to go beyond the boundaries of the County and enjoy a setting they may never get to experience. The workshop was informative and the artefacts interesting. Thank you to the staff for arranging the occasion.

On Friday, we saw the Macmillan Cake sale return. It is usually our first event of the year where we can raise money for a worthy cause and meet parents and pupils together. Thank you for all the cake and money donations. Thank you also to the PTFA for helping and staff for setting up.

This was also the day that the Travelling Book Fair opened for our Junior pupils, so I hope all of you take the time to have a look at the titles on offer and remember the more books that are purchased the greater the commission received to re-invest back into the school. The fair will be help in the open area accessed from the front playground where we will continue to see the cakes for Macmillan.

Next week, the pupils have their individual photographs to be taken and we will be challenging children to write their own poems along the theme of "Play" for National Poetry Day. I will also be seeing how the children are learning with a continuation of my lesson observations.

Have a restful weekend everyone.
