Trophy Success!

Football Triumph is the highlight of the week!

Good afternoon, we are two House Captains, one from Filby and one from Hickling. We have been lucky enough to be Headteachers for the Day. We have completed a learning walk in both schools about pupil engagement in clubs and the impact of trips, conducted an Infant good work assembly, interacted with the Infant children at break times, hosted a JLT meeting, purchased some resources and helped at the lolly sale. We really enjoyed the day, but it was busy.

Well done to both House Captains (pictured above) for making the Federation very proud of you. You conducted yourselves extremely well and you are a credit to both of your families.

This week saw the football success from the Years 5 & 6 Girls' team. A cup final appearance against a determined Martham Primary Academy side saw our team battle well to come away with a victory and the first footballing success in that competition. The Federation is so proud of all the girls who have represented the school over the course of the season. Their triumph was well deserved.

The end of the first half-term means that we usually have a sporting enrichment session and this time around it was Tag-Rugby. Originally, it had been American Football, but this was altered by Premier Sports. Thank you to Premier Sports for delivering a round of modelling how the children in each class could access and ultimately enjoy the game. There was some very early potential from many of the children, perhaps identifying the rugby players of the future. The children spoken to liked playing Tag-Rugby.

Next week is half-term so please enjoy this with families. Be safe and remember we return on Monday 2nd June. On Friday 6th June, we will be having our Planting Day across the Federation, so please send your child into school with a potting plant for them to plant to make our site more beautiful.

Have a great week everyone!
